My acceptance of the nomination is based on my passion for creating awareness of and promoting initiatives which drive sustainable practices within the corporate environment, with suppliers and striving to positively change behavior within communities and the workplace.

Experience

IT Experience – 12 years, incl. IT Capacity & Sustainability Manager for past 3 years: Woolworths

IT Infrastructure Capacity & Performance Management;

Woolworths Good Business Journey champion for ITS – defining & implementing Green-IT strategy and practices; Member of the Woolworths Sustainability forum;  Drove the Woolworths company green objectives on e-waste, generated employee and IT supplier awareness through green initiatives.  Implemented processes incl. recycling, reduction, safe disposal and re-use of IT equipment, cartridge recycling within Head Office operations and stores, paper usage reduction campaigns;

Woolworths IT Enterprise development Champion for past 2-3 years – facilitated establishment and support of black IT enterprises (BEE Codes) to become sustainable and IT Diversity Committee member.

New Position: Will commence working at the Clicks Group as IT Change and Problem Manager as of 01 May 2011.
